Alumni Committee

Overview

The APDA Alumni Committee was first formed in 2010-2011.  The 2011-2012 committee is therefore the second committee attempting to establish stronger ties between APDA and its alumni network.  This year’s Alumni Committee has a few goals:

• Establish a contact database in order to facilitate league communication with less closely involved alums and to enable alumni to reconnect and network with one another.
• Publish a newsletter with content relevant to alums, including updates from former APDA debaters about their lives and careers, summaries of league events and initiatives, and information about how to stay involved in the APDA community.
• Plan an alumni reunion, so that league alums that cannot or or are not interested in judging, but want to reconnect with old friends can do so with the help of the league.
• Create a website to make it easier to achieve all of the above goals and give alums another way to interact with the league and quickly receive updates from the Alumni Committee.
