Ernakulam County C Branch will investigate the death of law student Mofia Parveen, who was found hanged in her home with a suicide note.

Since then, her husband, Mohammed Suhail, to whom she was married in April, and his parents Rukhia and Yousuf have been named under IPC Section 304B (dowry death), 498A (husband or relative of the husband of a woman who subjects her to cruel violence) and 306. arrested (incitement to suicide) and 34 (acts of several people to promote common intent).
On Thursday they were brought before the Aluva First Class District Court, which sentenced them to 14 days in custody. While the husband and father were being transferred to the Muvattupuzha Special Prison, the mother was transferred to the Kakkanad District Prison.
According to the police’s pre-trial detention report, the victim was mentally and physically harassed by her husband and in-laws. They are also accused of domestic violence while the husband also sent a divorce notice and threatened the victim with marrying someone else, sources said.
